testy personality

Saw this on Caitlin's... tried it -

You are elegant, withdrawn, and brilliant.

Your mind is a weapon, able to solve any puzzle.

You are also great at poking holes in arguments and common beliefs.

For you, comfort and calm are very important.

You tend to thrive on your own and shrug off most affection.

You prefer to protect your emotions and stay strong.

Notes on the run; or how to waste Floosnap's time...

So here's a Facebook Notes as Blog system...

First you need a blog which is compatible with ScribeFire (most big services are). Mine is Blogspot/Blogger (Google).

You need the Firefox web browser, which has countless plug-in functions ranging from handy to stupid. One of which is ScribeFire (formerly Performancing) - a plug in that allows you to pop-up a blogging window in the lower half of your browser anytime, and post.

On Facebook, set up the feed import from your blog.

So - you can use ScribeFire anytime and it will turn up in your Notes, and you have a non-Facebook location as well.

Add in OakFlickr and the Flickr Uploadr and you can send photos on the run also.

I just like this since it provides both a non-FB, as well as Notes solution.

When Chuck was Charlie

Chuck Clark's screening of work during his CFAT Artist in Residence stint, just ending, was a ramblin' tour from the present to scratchy nostalgia. I was struck, following the IFD? talks, by how even badly scratched up film footage really just doesn't lose its magic. Neither does Chuck.

Cammaer obscura

Gerda Cammaer launches IFD? with her presentation, Another Death, Another Life. The background images are the film Decasia assembled from film archives in various states of decay. Interesting and alarming.
